Depression

Has your life become a panorama that has lost its sparkle to a pallet of dull grays?  Do you feel like you’re lost in a bleak forest or slogging through molasses?  You are not alone!  The incidence of depression has risen dramatically in our society!

“Ignore it and it will go away” does not work for depression, just as pretending you don’t have to do anything about dental plaque on your teeth or high blood pressure will not miraculously make them disappear.  Left untended, feelings of unremitting pain and hopelessness can lead to suicidal thoughts, plans and actions, never mind a miserable life!

Research tells us that the gold standard for addressing depression is a combination of therapy and medication.  As a psychotherapist, I work with depression from a feelings, thoughts and behaviours perspective – to understand and address root causes and help you begin experiencing new ways of being.  You CAN get better, you can feel better.  The first step is believing it can be so and getting help now.

You’ve always had the power, my dear.  You’ve just had to learn it for yourself.
