Our bodies\u2019 natural mechanisms of coping with the outside world become severely overtaxed, and physical symptoms and distress quickly affect our psychological wellbeing.&nbsp; We valiantly try to cope in a number of ways: procrastinate (postpone our anxiety), we perfect (try to control everything in our environment, including others\u2019 perceptions of us), and we worry (replay the concern in hopes of finding a solution).&nbsp; Anxiety, untended long enough, can easily morph into helplessness and depression.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-fira-sans-font-family has-medium-font-size has-custom-font\" style=\"font-family:Fira Sans\">It\u2019s important to understand what drives your anxiety.&nbsp; In therapy, this can be done by exploring your feelings, perceptions and\/or thoughts.&nbsp; As a psychotherapist, I use many interventions to help you access calm, including mindfulness and acceptance and commitment therapy &#8211; interventions into your inner world and practices to help you access calm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-text-color has-fira-sans-font-family has-custom-font has-custom-lineheight\" style=\"color:#2cc9c1;font-size:16px;font-family:Fira Sans;line-height:1.15\"><em>&#8220;The future depends on what you do today.&#8221;
